The unit was first created in 1998 and since then has been providing modern solutions and services for all infertility problems.
It is a state-of-the-art medical centre for men and women, with innovative and specialized units in the field of IVF, maternal-fetal medicine, genetics and molecular biology.
The new centre is an integrated Gynaecology and Obstetrics unit in the Balkans, supported by cutting-edge technological equipment, experienced human resources and internationally renowned partners.
Our main concern being humane approach and psychological support to couples, combined with best results, both in treatment and prevention.
This is an egg donation programme, meaning that the donors are women who donate their fresh eggs to infertile couples.
Iakentro fertility centre has a number of women already available and awaiting to donate to potential recipients. This will involve the donors characteristics being matched with those of the recipient prior to donation.
IED works in partnership with the unit to prepare and support patients who wish to travel here for treatment. This is in accordance with our own HFEA guidelines and advice and the policy in Greece.
Patients will have an individual treatment management protocol and most of the treatment will take place here in the UK through IED.
The latter stages of your treatment protocol will include you and your partner travelling to Crete for a period of approximately 5 days. During this time your partner will provide a semen sample and your embryo transfer will be performed.
Treatment on this International programme can take place within 3-4 months.
